Appearance: Chocky has midnight black feathers with a toffee coloured feather ring round her neck. She seems to come off worse in the looks department when she moults. Although she usually undergoes only a partial neck moult, it really does make her look quite the worse for wear.
Personality: She is quite shy and wary and is usually the last chicken to come over when treats are being dished out.
Favourite Food: Chocky loves the worms and insects in our compost heap.
 Habits: Unlike most of the other chickens, Chocky isn't daft when it comes to her sleeping arrangements. Ever since we've had Chocky, she has always occupied her own special space at night on one of the internal roof beams in the hen house. The only time that she moved was when we first brought in our four Bovan Neras. Chocky became quite possessive and jealous towards Tiger and for a short period only, they slept together on the perch.

She is quite a reserved chicken who likes her own space and spends a fair bit of time on her own. She is the best flyer amongst our chickens and is the only one who regularly flies over the fence of the outdoor run, when we try to keep them in to give the gardens a rest.
She has been a devil for pinching the new chicks feed and will often knock over their trough in her haste to get to the food first.
