Heart breaking as I live only a few streets away. Only just found out from the paper. So sad, that poor female that survived has lost so much now too...

That's so sad.  I really just don't understand how people can do that to their animals...

Very sad, too bad they were not found in time to save both dogs. There is never any need to abandon an animal. There are animal shelters all over the world. Is it really that hard to take a pet to a shelter and drop it off? When I picked uo Frodo from the shelter I was told a sad story. When they went out back with the garbage one night they found a bunch of boxes containing 27 bunnies. They had been out in the cold for hours. They all got sick, but the shelter made up its mind to save them all and find them homes. They succeded! The thing is the owner took the bunnies to the shelter and then dumped them with the garbage where they wouldn't be seen. Even if the person had called to tell the shelter to bring them in or had put them out front where they would be seem, they would have been fine. The owner made a concious choice to put them out back by the dumpster.

Somebody out there knows what they did. I hope they think about it and it bothers them as it should.

I know it hurts to know it was just a street or so away. There is a local animal sancury but I think it is slowly going bust. They could have phoned the RSPCA- they would have collected them chances are. If they cannot drive them there. The female looked young in the pic on another news site

I think she will find a home soon. So sad, I hope they catch them. I know it is very steep, but staffies a stroung. I dont know how long they were there... The herald comments really annoy me too, then we wonder why there is animal abuse and people are let to think its ok.

Thats really sad. Kind if reminds me when someone left a little puppy like under our school's  stairs. That person left her with cat food that had  cokcroaches in them. What were they doing trying to kill the puppy! But we kept her and she grew up really fast. She is such a playful, happy, strong, healthy dog now!!!

All of my wonderful pets.

Cockateil- Chewy
Love Birds- Sparky and Sparkle
Goldfish- Diver, Swimmer, Diamond,
Goldy, Star & Salty

Me too!! Animals are vulnerable and rely on us for almost everything! Doesnt take much to be a responsible pet owner.

ugh!!! that makes me mad. if they don't want the dogs find a good home for them. or find a rescue that will take them in and find them a good home. some people are so stupid.

That's so sad. The dog in the picture is a rescue dog we might be getting. Sometimes I want to murder such ignorant people.
