Hi everyone looking for some advice.  My kids hamster just had her first little of babies last night.  The cage fell today not far it was on a low shelf but still it fell and mesed up bedding and all that and moved babies around.  Mom was frantic and rounded up her babies and made new next i added all the lost bedding back to the cage do you think she will eat the babies?  There anything else i should do for her or babies? she got her nest back together and rounded up babies cleaned em all up hasn't eatin em so far its been 2 hours hoping it won't come to her eating them.  shes a very tame hamster kids can wash her clean and play with her for hours and she just loves it.  any advice would be great and any advice on new babies would be great also... like when to seperate them when they will begin eating when they can be handled ect. thanks.

Congrats on the baby hamsters. I'm guessing it is a Syrian hamster that you have, if so they are a little more sensitive about their babies than dwarfs and require even more care and caution.
