Just to show how quickly baby chicks grow up and change. Here are some pictures of our recenlty hatched chickens Amber, Velvet and Primrose, firstly at a few days old on the left and then at 12 weeks old on the right.

And also some video of them at 12 weeks:

Regards,
John

They are such pretty chickens and each has such unique coloring. Okay so I still think all chickens are white.

He he, over here most chickens are multi-coloured.
Aww I have not looked at pics of little/big chickens - haven't they grown!!! In a few months we can post pictures of when they are looking like proper fully grown chickens - I cannot wait until the two hens lay their first egg! Its so nice to see them grow =-).

It was neat when the quail laid eggs. I found it so cute. The first set of chicken eggs are smaller than normal aren't they. That is what I heard anyhow.

They can be smaller, deformed and even shell-less!

I had some shell-less quail eggs from the young females. I always figured I was doing something wrong. Maybe that was normal.
